The five things that adds a zest to my life.

This post is a part of the Zest Up Your Life : "#ZestUpYourLife" activity in association with TATA Motors Zest and BlogAdda.com

Playing and Watching Cricket.

Well, as we all know that cricket is the most popular game in India, I have been fascinated by it since my childhood. During my childhood days, I used to play it each day and I was the one who used to give a call to each of my friends staying in my colony. In those days, mobile or internet  was not accessible to everyone. So I used to shout outside their home at 4:00 pm and at times I got scolded by the neighboring people because it was me who always disturbed their afternoon power naps. I never bought a cricket bat but I always contributed with a khanna/Tennis ball.
In this way at about 4.30 and at times up to 5.00 everyone used to be on the field and the game used to start by forming the teams. I remember that I was the so called teenager Shane Warne of my colony and yes this sentence seems hyperbolic. So this recognition surely added a zest to my cricketing skills and all of my colony friends who were big boys and few teenagers, they all found my bowling up to the mark and unplayable at most of the times. I remember taking few wickets from the leg side as shown in the video below:

Watching Discovery Channel.

I always prefer to watch the Discovery Channel and I have watched the serials like Man Vs Wild, Dual Survival, Food Factory, etc and lot more. Of all these shows, the Man Vs Wild is the show which adds a zest to my life because the host of this show Bear Grylls, has got an amazing exuberance and he keeps inventing the things that we have not even heard in the past. Well, I would surely like to go on an expedition like him and eat all the raw stuff like him. Watch his interview:

Cycling.

I have been using a bicycle since my school days and even today I prefer it. It adds a zest to my life not because I save on the cost of fuel but because It helps me to evade traffic and get an exercise while travelling between two places. I remember once, me and my friends went on a bicycle journey which was of more than 10 kilometers and the occasion was to find an internship project. We did not succeed in getting as it was not related to our field so decided to return.
While returning we were not tired because while coming back home we went to meet a mutual friends home. At first we thought we would not come inside his house as we are meeting him for the first time. But to our surprise, that friend in our group had already introduced us in their previous meetings. In this way, the mutual friend offered us a breakfast and he made sure that we would not feel awkward while having a conversation with him.

Spending time with friends.

So as mentioned in the cycling zest of mine, I am also interested in spending time with my friends. This is the thing that everyone loves to do and it is the best time where we get a chance to help each other.  Spending time with friends really adds zest because they are the ones who share absolute remarks about us without any partiality. Again this statement seems to be hyperbolic, but at most of the times they surely help us by sharing their valuable opinion.

Performing the tasks which seems to be tedious.

Well, I don't talk(write) much but right now I am performing a tedious task which seems difficult as we have to think a lot. :-) Yes, I like to do the tedious tasks that requires a lot of patience. I have found that the most of my siblings, relatives and friends are fed up at the earliest as well as they lose patience. My thinking is that if the task is to be completed, then why to panic even if it requires a tedious amount of efforts. For these tedious tasks, I have framed these words "Don't worry about the results, it's time to perform every now and then". After all adding a zest to our life depends on how we perform tasks rather than their results. So it's time to raise the bar as shown in the video below:

Five Hindi movies that I felt are off-beat and I feel that these are the must watch Bollywood films.

This post is a part of the MissLovely Activity in association with BlogAdda.

Today is the era of popularity and style which is being reflected in every movie that is being scripted in Hindi cinema. Well this term has also got a style and it is now known as Bollywood films instead of Hindi cinema but there are a lot of movies which have an outstanding script and the actors in those films have done an outstanding job of entertainment as well as motivation.

According to me such movies are the must watch Bollywood films and for instance, I can note down five movies and according to me, every individual should watch them to know the Indian cinema. The five movies are as follows:

Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar.

Reason: This movie motivates us to be energetic towards every situation in our life and our aim should be victory even if the circumstances are against us.

Yuva.

Reason: This movie describes us how the youth should proceed in politics which is a lucrative carrier option but it is maligned just because of few bad politicians who don’t deserve to lead our nation.

Khamoshi.

Reason: This movie explains us that due to some family situations, we get ourselves stuck in doing nothing which is a bad thing. Also it is important to note that there is only one religion in this world and it is being human. This thing is missing in the world just because of we the socialized human beings are stuck into the caste and creed system.

Iqbal

Reason: This movie is a must watch for all the youngsters because every individual has a certain passion and it is the duty of every family member to nourish each others areas of interest. Some things are difficult to achieve but it is never impossible to do so and it is a well scripted and directed movie that will certainly motivate the viewers.

Rocket Singh: Salesman of the year.

Reason: This movie describes us that even if we have a little bit of knowledge we can achieve big success only if we have the passion and perfect planning to do so. If we execute it properly then there is no stopping.

My Delhi Manifesto – Exclude the things which are harming our ecosystem.

The national capital of India, Delhi, is the heart of our nation and it is oblivious to know that some things are heading in wrong direction. The most affecting part for me as the citizen of this nation is that we are following the practices of other nations. For example we wear the outfits which are exactly similar to the ones that are being practiced in colder region. And we need the Air Conditioner’s to keep ourselves working in the closed cabinet of well constructed cement office building which has been constructed with unnecessary usage of glass as well. So I just want to focus on the basic things which are harming our ecosystem just because we don’t even want to think over it. But thanks to Blogadda.com for conducting this My Delhi Manifesto contest where we can focus on some issues which really need to be changed at the earliest.

I would like the following changes to take place at the earliest.

Minimized bicycle usage:

Today is the world of speed and every individual in the city wants to drive a moped, bike or a car at the earliest rather than using a bicycle. This practice is going to earn us nothing but a pollution title not because Delhi is the largest city in India but because of the exploding population. So it is very important to encourage the citizens of Delhi to maximize the bicycle usage.

Exclude glass usage in construction of office buildings, apartment and house:

Now a days we all are fond of well constructed house, office buildings as well as apartments and yes we do take care of installing the glass windows as well as using the colored glass to obtain the exotic look. So is it really necessary to make enormous usage of glass where the climate is hot and humid at most of the times? Hence, it is better to exclude the usage of glass which affects our ecosystem by generating heat.

Air Conditioner – Is it necessary:

As mentioned above if we make use of glass to construct our office buildings or home then obviously we will have to install a powerful Air Conditioner (AC) which will keep the temperature down and that to at the cost of electricity as well as the CFC is being gifted to our atmosphere. So why can’t we refrain from installation of Air Conditioners?

Well constructed Sports Stadiums are closed in off season:

Being the host of first most Asian Games, the citizen’s of Delhi are not inclined towards sports. I feel that every citizen should involve themselves into sports and make use of the well constructed stadiums which remain closed during the off season. So why are the citizens not using them to stay fit and healthier?

Large amount of electricity consumption:
As Delhi ranks 2nd most populated urbanization in the world, it obviously needs a large amount of electricity supply. Are the residents of Delhi getting ample amount of electricity supply? As of now there is no shortage but what if less is available in the grid itself?

Are we really prepping up to change our lifestyle? It is the time for us to start changing the things which falls under the section of unnecessary things and I have tried to mention few of them in the above post which are widely affecting our ecosystem.

Unfortunately, I wished she had a Smart Suraksha with her.

I am participating in the Seeking Smart Suraksha contest at BlogAdda.com in association with Smart Suraksha App.

It was the Sunday of October 2013 and I was busy working with the weekly work related to home like bringing vegetables, grinded flour and pressing my clothes. Actually it is the work which I love to do on Sunday’s and be ready for the coming 5 days of the week to rush at a rapid pace. On that day, I was in the flour mill waiting for the flour to be grinded and I was very annoyed just because it was taking a lot of time to grind and I had to wait in total of about 50 to 55 minutes or so. Well the reason was obvious that every one does this sort of work on Sunday’s and I was really stuck because of this situation.

The location of this flour mill is just few yards from the highway and it is a calm location with no rush of vehicles at all. I had parked my bicycle just outside this mill and I was watching the small kids who were playing cricket on to the ground which was just few meters away. Suddenly, they all disappeared as it was getting dark. The next moment, I was shocked with an annoying behavior of one man who might be around 30 to 35 years of age and he kicked one tree which was ahead of the flour mill. Just after this incident that man started walking ahead and he was having fun just because it was Sunday. After this incident, I saw 3 to 4 men accompanying him and they stood in the middle of the road and that too just below the street light. At this moment the sun was about to set and there was not a single vehicle on the road.

At first I thought these poor guys are having fun because they get only one Sunday to enjoy and I went inside the flour mill to check how long I had to wait. I came out and I was happy that my turn had arrived and in the next 10 minutes I would be at home. So I stood near the bicycle and I kept an eye on those guys who were kind of blocking the street but the impression of these guys was such that they were waiting for someone. I thought they might be waiting for their friend but I was wrong.

One lady was passing by this route and I saw these 5 creatures staring at her and kind of approaching towards her as well as they kind of tried to block the road. I suddenly rushed towards my bicycle and unlocked it so that I can bang into these 5 creatures if they tease or obstruct that lady to venture ahead. But to my surprise that lady was talking on a phone and she changed hear path, turned around and started to walk back. After few minutes these 5 creatures disappeared just because on of those creatures received a phone call.

Meanwhile that lady was relived and she swiftly started walking ahead as these 5 creatures were disappeared in a fraction of second. I am unfortunate to say this but it could have been a worst case if I had not been there watching every move of these creatures. For a moment I thought that these guys could have crossed their limits and who knows as it was a silent area they might have harassed that lady who was all alone on that Sunday. Now I cannot even think of that scary situation through which that lady went and she had to change her path so as to protect herself.

The above shameful incident might be occurring in every city of India and this is a disgrace in the name of our country. We all the citizens of this nation have to stride forward, keep our eyes wide open and restrict these types of events from taking place in future. As of now, unfortunately, I wish that she had Smart Suraksha with her on that Sunday. She could have sent an emergency message to here family, friends and police by just pressing the power button onto her mobile handset.
